Trying to eat and drink healthy during the holidays is always a challenge. But a new Nashville restaurant, EiO & The Hive, wants you to feel good about what you eat.
Jennifer Masley’s restaurant sits on Charlotte Avenue and her mission is to get Nashvillians to eat healthy this holiday season.
"The goal is to stay healthy up to and through the holidays, not starting January 1," she said. "It's a 365-day journey."
It starts by cutting down on the sweet stuff. Instead, she's making holiday cocktails with agave. She even adds CBD oil, a natural, non-psychoactive concentrate extracted from hemp.
The menu at EiO focuses on locally-sourced ingredients – rotisserie chicken and bone broth soups.
You can get food to-go, eat in or buy healthy stocking-stuffers for loved ones on your list.
So while health food in Nashville is still competing with BBQ and hot chicken, here the line for lunch is growing.
EiO will also be holding a speaker series in January and running a dietary detox program, as well. Visit their website for more.
