NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville police said a woman was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed during a fight in Madison early Tuesday.
The stabbing happened at about 2:00a.m. outside of the Hickory Lodge Apartments on East Old Hickory Boulevard, east of Gallatin Pike.
According to investigators, the victim was inside a car when another woman got out of a red Dodge Charger and confronted her, pulling her from the vehicle. Officers said that's when the victim was assaulted and stabbed in the stomach.
The suspect drove off in the red Charger.
The victim was taken to Skyline Medical Center and was expected to survive.
Officers said a friend of the victim's identified the suspect as his ex-girlfriend. However, she has not been identified or arrested.
