NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man wanted in five separate robberies has been taken into custody.
Metro police said in a social media post Wednesday that 33-year-old Denevie K. Bell was arrested. He was allegedly responsible for a series of armed robberies in June.

Those five separate cases happened at 21st Avenue South and Sweetbriar Avenue, Woodmont Boulevard, Beechwood Avenue, 30th Avenue North, and Patterson Street. In each case, the victims were robbed at gunpoint.
Bell allegedly stole multiple purses, and when officers confronted him in June, he successfully eluded capture.
Detectives called Bell a violent ex-convict. Details of his arrest were unknown.
