PLEASANT SHADE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Spectra Energy natural gas pipeline erupted in the area of Stone Branch Road in Pleasant Shade around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
It was confirmed that there was a small explosion at that time which caused some debris to be blown into the road and for damage to occur to a few nearby buildings.
Smith County EMA Director, Sonny Carter, reported that no one was injured in the incident.
The gas line has now been turned off.
