Authorities have advised the public to be aware of an “extremely dangerous” suspect who’s wanted in connection with a stabbing in Robertson County.

Sheriff’s officials said 39-year-old Jeffery Daniel Stewart, of Nashville, is wanted for attempted first-degree murder, especially aggravated burglary, and aggravated assault.

The incident was reported Sunday morning at a home on Logan Road in Greenbrier. When officials arrived on the scene, they found that the victim had been stabbed in the neck during an attack.

The victim's daughter said Stewart attacked her mom with a box cutter and almost killed her. Stewart is the father of the couple's 1-year-old daughter, who was asleep at the house during the attack. The woman was taken to a Nashville hospital, and was in stable condition after having emergency surgery. She is expected to recover.  However, family members were still afraid for their safety.

Stewart was last seen driving a 2005 Ford Focus station wagon with Tennessee tag V5267L.

Authorities said he’s considered extremely dangerous and advised the public not to approach him.

"We are doing everything in our power using all the resources we have available to us to get this guy in custody as fast as we can," said Lt. Brad Edwards with the Roberson County Sheriff's Office.

If you see Stewart, contact the Robertson County Central Dispatch at (615) 384- 4911 or the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 615-382-6600.
