NASHVILLEN, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police have confirmed a false call of shots fired at the Opry Mills Mall Saturday night.

Around 8:15 pm, police say they received a handful of calls about shots fired and people running through the mall. Officers working the mall off-duty and resources on-duty responded and determined all such calls were false. A police sergeant in the security office confirmed this.

Officers say the incident stemmed from juveniles inside the mall calling for service and spreading concern throughout the mall.

One arrest for criminal trespass was made.
