Family members of former Cheatham County Mayor David McCullough held a small press briefing following his death.
McCullough lost his fight with an aggressive form of cancer earlier this week. He was in the middle of his second term as mayor.
On Wednesday, his family said community support is helping them be strong in this time of grief along with the knowledge that David lived with no regrets.
They said Mayor McCullough fought the cancer with everything he had for two years, and never gave up.
Funeral arrangements were still being finalized.
