A woman was killed in a crash with a dump truck in Wilson County.
The crash happened in the 2900 block of Highway 231, also known as Murfreesboro Road, Wednesday around 3 p.m.
Authorities said 38-year-old Terri E. Roberts, who was driving a 2001 white Buick, was turning from Atkinson Road when she collided with a dump truck.
The Mack Dump truck hit the Buick in the side, forcing the Roberts off the right side of the road and reentered the roadway coming to an uncontrolled final rest in the southbound lane of travel.
The truck ran off the left side of the roadway overturning and came to an uncontrolled final rest on its left side in the ditch.
Roberts was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. She died at the scene.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
The road was closed until 7 p.m. near Atkinson Road south of the rock quarry.
