FBI agents have been called in to help look into a hateful message left for a family with three African American children.
Donald Crawford says his daughter saw someone spray-painting a message on his chicken coop Friday night.
That message included a racial slur -- saying African Americans “should be put to death."
The Giles County Sheriff's Office says it's reached out to the FBI for help in investigating this potential hate crime.
Crawford has a message for whoever spray-painted the words on his property.
“I hate that you’re so much of a coward that you can’t approach me directly with your feelings, instead of coming in the cover of darkness and intimidating and frightening my family,” Crawford said.
