SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WTVF) — The FBI office in Louisville says an unspecified social media threat involving schools in Kentucky and Arkansas is not credible.
Although Allen County Schools in Kentucky was not specifically named in the threat, the district shared a letter to parents on Tuesday, saying it remains vigilant and is working with SROs to make sure students are safe.

In response, the FBI released the following statement:
“FBI Louisville is aware of an unspecified internet threat against schools in Kentucky (8/28) and Arkansas (8/29). There is no evidence indicating this threat is credible. However, if you see something suspicious online or in person, contact local law enforcement or the FBI."
Parents with questions or concerns were encouraged to contact their school or district administrator.
