Felon with 19 outstanding warrants arrested after crime spree

A felon, who had been wanted on 19 outstanding warrants, has been taken into custody after a crime spree in Nashville.  

The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Dustin Stanton, was most recently wanted in connection with the theft of several laptop computers from a business.

He was seen on surveillance video and police tracked him to an address on High Street in Nashville.

According to an affidavit, officers surrounded the home and ordered him to surrender. Stanton allegedly took off on foot, but was quickly apprehended. 

Offers said he was in possession of a handgun, which is illegal for felon. He faces several more charges following his arrest.
