Fentress County man arrested for forging checks

BYRDSTOWN, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has indicted Jonathan Davidson after an investigation surrounding the forgery of checks.

In October 2018, agents from TBI started the investigation due to a series of the forged checks, which resulted in the theft of funds from a lumber company located in Byrdstown.

The investigation led them to Davidson, who has been charged with 12 counts of forgery and 12 counts of passing forged writings. He has been booked into Pickett County jail on a bond of $500.
