Festival Celebrates Nashville's Growing Culinary Scene

Posted

A chance to sample some of Nashville's best food and wine brought a large crowd to downtown.

The Music City Food and Wine Festival at Bicentennial Mall Saturday featured cooking demonstrations, panel discussions with chefs, and of course, plenty of food from local restaurants.

This was the 6th year for the event, and organizers said it has continued to grow.

Local chefs said it’s a great way to celebrate Nashville's growing culinary scene.

“It’s great people representing great products,” said Tandy Wilson, Chef at City House. “When you look at the chefs from right here in Nashville and across the country, it’s pretty unbeatable.”

The event has been scheduled to wrap up Sunday with a Gospel Brunch. Plans have already gotten underway for next year's event, as well.
