MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Multiple crews worked together to put out a large fire at a landfill.
Officials said the call of the fire came in around 3:30 p.m. Sunday when smoke was visible for several miles.
Crews found a large fire in the county landfill on Jefferson Pike. Both county and city worked together and had the fire out by 4:15 p.m.
It was considered a hazardous material fire, and authorities said they believe it was an accident.
