Crews responded to the GM plant in Maury County when the air filters in the air system of the body shop caught fire.
Smoke was reported coming from the onsite body shop as the fire alarm was going off.
The entire body shop was evacuated and the fire was extinguished within minutes and was contained to the fabrication shop.
No employees or firefighters injured in the fire. Officials did not yet know the extent of the damage.
