Merchants on Broadway in downtown Nashville will be closed indefinitely following a fire.
Reports stated the fire happened Thursday morning at the restaurant in the 400 block of Broadway.
Authorities said the fire was on the third floor, and damage was reported on all three floors, as well as in the basement.
Light smoke was seen coming from the back of the building, and traffic was shut down between 3rd and 5th avenues while crews worked at the scene.
