DICKSON, Tenn. – A restaurant in Dickson County that had been closed for about a year caught on fire.
The fire happened Sunday afternoon at 100 Suzanne Drive, the location of the former Family Farmer Restaurant.
Crews were on the scene nearly five hours as they battled the flames that engulfed most of the building.
Since the restaurant had been closed for awhile, no one was inside at the time of the fire.
Officials said they believe the fire started in the back of the building, but the cause was still unknown.
"The overall structure of the building, it was a complete wood building, had a little bit of metal in it but pretty much all wood, and it kept rolling. A lot of hidden fires in there," said Dickson City Fire Chief Richard Greer.
No further details were immediately available.
