MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Murfreesboro fire crews were called to a home on Vintage Grove Parkway Tuesday night. When they arrived flames could be seen exiting a vent in the roof.
The fire was located in the attic.
According to Shift Commander Tim Swann, the fire was extinguished quickly and damage was contained to the attic area of the home.
The residents will most likely be displaced due to the hole in the roof.
The Fire Marshals' Office was called to the scene to conduct a routine investigation but believe lighting is to blame since heavy storms were in the area at the time.
No injuries were reported.
