HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The party that Noah Sadler wanted to have for his fifth birthday was canceled because of COVID-19.

"This year we were planning on doing a friend birthday party," said Kelly Sadler, his mom. "He just started preschool this year, so he hasn't really had a whole lot of friends to do birthday parties with."

With social distancing and Tennessee's Stay-At-Home order, his party with his pals couldn't happen.

"He understands a little bit. He wishes his friends can be with him, but he knows he can't because of the virus," Sadler said.

His family decided to recognize his birthday another way. On Facebook, his mom invited friends, neighbors and others in the Hendersonville community to drive-by and wave to him on his birthday.

Firefighters and a police officer even showed up.

"I think looking back at this when he's older he'll really cherish it and enjoy it," Sadler said.
