Thousands of firefighters came to town for a three-day convention.
They started the day bright and early on Thursday with a serious sweat session for the Firehouse Expo. Some of them answered the crack of dawn alarm for a workout at the Walk of Fame Park downtown.
The fitness drills focused on promoting performance and decreasing on-the-job injuries.
Another workout Saturday morning called a tribute challenge will honor all 343 first responders killed on September 11th.
"It's a memorial workout just to help remember those that lost their lives on 9/11,” said Aaron Zamzow, the expo planner. “It's 343 reps of different body weight exercises, but we can vary it based off skill and fitness levels."
This was the second year the Firehouse Expo has been held in Music City. It was scheduled to wrap up on Saturday.
