Nashville already has beer, wine and whiskey, and now there's a new kid on the block.
"We saw the food scene coming in the last seven years. We saw all of the craft breweries and nobody else had been doing a cidery," said Adam Diskin.
Diskin is the co-founder of Diskin Cider. Together with his partner, Todd Evans, they're opening the first cidery in Nashville.
"It's very rare these days that you can say you're the first thing in Nashville," he said.
They're putting the finishing touches on the space, which takes the juice from apples and turns it into a variety of brews.
Diskin says if you think you've tried cider, think again.
"We're also very much about being true to the craft of making cider," he said.
He went to cider-making school and says there's a cider for every pallet.
"We have pineapple, we have blackberry," he said.
Diskin Cider will be celebrating their Grand Opening on May 19 starting at noon. There will be live music, food trucks, tastings and much more. Click here for more information.
