NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Five Points Pizza worker has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee worked at the West Nashville location, which will be temporarily closed for cleaning.

The restaurant posted the following statement on its social media page.

"We are saddened to announce that one of our team members at the Charlotte Avenue location tested positive for COVID-19 today, June 1st. The employee last worked Tuesday, May 26th and had no contact with any customers. He is currently quarantined and doing well.

In response, our Charlotte Avenue location will be temporarily closed while a professional sanitation crew deep cleans and disinfects the restaurant. After following the preventative guidance of the CDC and local health officials, the store will reopen with the same diligent cleaning and safety protocols that were previously in place, including no-contact carry out window service and mandatory use of masks and gloves.

At the moment no other staff members are experiencing any symptoms, however, all staff members at that location are being tested for COVID-19 before being allowed to return to work.

As we navigate this pandemic together, we want to be sure we continue to be transparent in our communication and keep you updated on recent developments. We remain committed to the health and safety of our staff and the community that we feel so privileged to be a part of"

The restaurant has two locations in Nashville. It's East Nashville location was seriously damaged in the deadly March tornado. It has since reopened for carry out only.
