Severe thunderstorms caused flash flooding in Portland and the surrounding areas.

Parts of McGlothlin and Cody Street have been affected or closed.

A driver was forced to help rescue one driver from his car after he hydroplaned into high water.

The man said he lost control and landed in the flood waters. He had to be helped out of his vehicle and onto dry land.

Viewer Louie Ray Lueras, Jr. sent in this photo of damage from the storm at the Shell station located at Highway 70 and White Bluff Road in White Bluff.
