Former Clarksville-Montgomery County contract coach accused of giving student steroid

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A former contract coach for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System has been accused of giving a student an anabolic steroid.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said 52-year-old Roger Williams was indicted by a Grand Jury for anabolic steroids - prohibitive acts and his bond was set at $5,000. An anonymous tip led to his arrest on Monday.

The school district said Williams was contacted in August 2019 to plan, coordinate, implement and oversee a strength and conditioning program for the Rossview High School boy's basketball team. The contract was terminated on December 20, 2019.
