WILLIAMSON CO., Tenn. (WTVF) — Former Davidson County Sheriff Henderson "Hank" Hillin has passed away.
Hillin grew up in Middle Tennessee and graduated from Lipscomb University. He worked as a teacher and coach at Hillsboro High School in Williamson County.
Hillin went on to serve in the U.S. Army and become an FBI Special Agent, during which he lead TENNPAR's investigation of the pardons and paroles scandal involving former Tennessee Governor Ray Blanton. Hillin wrote about the investigation in his 1985 book, FBI Codename TENNPAR.
He served Davidson County as Sheriff from 1990-1994.
Hillin was 90 years old. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Frances.
