NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A former deputy for the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office has been accused of assaulting a man at a car dealership.
Officials said Alan Shonting is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a man at a car dealership.
Shonting resigned from the sheriff’s office and turned himself in Monday following his arrest.
He has been accused of assaulting his step-daughter's ex-boyfriend at his job at a local car dealership last month and violating a protective order.
Shonting had worked for the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office for 15 years.
