A former EMS supervisor was arrested and charged after allegedly misusing his position to steal narcotic drugs.
Randy Davidson, 48, of Crossville was arrested Wednesday by agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The TBI and the officials from the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury began investigating Davidson in August of 2016.
They found that he had been stealing fentanyl from the Cumberland County Ambulance Service. He also allegedly forged the ambulance service’s controlled substance records in an attempt to conceal the theft.
Davidson was fired from the Ambulance Service.
The Cumberland County Grand Jury returned indictments on Monday, charging with two counts of Theft under $1,000, one count of Official Misconduct, and one count of Forgery.
Davidson was booked in the Cumberland County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
