FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — The former mayor of Franklin Tom Miller has died, the city announced on Friday.
Miller served as mayor from 2003 to 2007. He also held roles as alderman and chair of the Franklin Planning Commission prior to his time as mayor.
During his tenure, a new Franklin Police headquarters was built and Nissan brought its North American headquarters to the city.
Preservation of civil war battlefield sites such as Carter’s Hill and Eastern Flank Battlefield Park; the Sister Cities program, and initiating the Adopted Soldiers program between our community and the soldiers at Fort Campbell that is still going strong today.
