The Tennessee Performing Arts Center announced Wednesday that Eddie George, will serve as the celebrity spokesperson for its arts education department.
The former Tennessee Titan and NFL legend said that the arts have been a part of his life since he was young and stuck with him throughout his career.
“I really want to inspire children to delve into the arts because there is so much to explore about yourself, about what you can become what you can do how you can express your artistic talents through,” said George.
Together, he and TPAC officials hope to raise awareness of the need for arts education and the impact it can have in the lives of young people.
Following the interview, George also participated in a performance of Doktor Kaboom: Livewire for a group of area school children.
