Four horses rescued from collapsed barn in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — Four horses were rescued from a collapsed barn in Franklin on Thursday morning.

Officials Williamson County said the caller noticed the horses were trapped just before 7 a.m. inside portable stalls on S. Berry's Chapel Road.

Rescue squads were able to free all four of the animals by 10:50 a.m. One horse sustained minor injuries and the other three were unharmed.

A veterinarian was on scene to sedate the horses for the safety of the animals and the responders who were working to free them.

The incident temporarily shut down S. Berry's Chapel Road on Thursday.
