Four men charged in home invasion turned standoff

Metro Nashville Police arrested and charged four men after they allegedly broke into a Madison home and barricaded themselves inside for hours.

It happened Tuesday at a home on Florence Avenue. The men allegedly forced their way in when one of the children in the home let out the family dog.

The family was eventually able to escape, but the suspects remained in the home for hours.

Police arrested 30-year-old Maurice Bowers, of Cline Avenue in Hendersonville, 37-year-old Torrey Glen, of Lewis Street when they surrendered to SWAT officers at 2:20 p.m.

Jamarious Jackson, 30, of Joseph Avenue, was arrested about two hours later while hiding in the attic after refusing numerous commands to surrender.  SWAT officers saw no sign of a fourth suspect during Jackson’s arrest, but, after a a thermal imaging sweep, they found him hidden in the attic as well.

Brandon M. Jones, 28, of Old Matthews Road, had been hiding under insulation and duct work.   

All four men were charged with aggravated robbery.
