WINCHESTER, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Franklin County man has been arrested on charges of criminal homicide, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
Franklin County Sheriff's Office began an investigation early Tuesday morning after the Winchester Police Department notified them of a possible homicide in their jurisdiction.
Investigators learned of the location of the scene of the homicide, while also determining a suspect. In processing the scene, they learned of the location of the victim.
Around 9:30 p.m., the body of the victim was recovered.
Franklin County resident Hugo Cruz, 41, was arrested and taken to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
Cruz is charged with criminal homicide, and being held under a $500,000 bond. His initial court date is September 3.
