FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — During a meeting on Monday night, the Franklin Special School District Board of Education voted to drop the district's mask requirement for students, staff and visitors. The vote was unanimous.

The district cited the decline in positive cases in the school and surrounding community in making the decision. Additionally, the district said the availability for children 5 and older to receive a COVID-19 contributed to the decision.
