FRANKLIN, Tenn. - It was an event that was overflowing with excitement. The Franklin Wine Festival kicked off with more than 1,000 glasses held high for "cheers!"
The event Friday not only featured food and wine, but also beer, live music, and a King and Queen of the Vines.
It raised money for Big Brothers Big Sisters, which helps mentor kids.
“There are kids who maybe have one parent, or kids who need another person to spend time with and help them with their homework, go do fun activities, help them figure out who they want to be,” said Melissa Hudson-Gant, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee.
NewsChannel 5's own Vicki Yates helped emcee part of the event that’s now in its 14th year.
