OLD HICKORY, Tenn. - A local organization offered some free health screenings for women Saturday.
The All About Women group offered a variety of health services at Dupont-Hadley Middle School.
Women were able to get everything from a flu shot to a hearing and vision test.
Saint Thomas was also there providing mammograms onsite.
The idea has been to eliminate some of the obstacles that keep women from getting the check-ups and information they need.
“Some of the barriers were time, some of the barriers were money and access, and so the thought was to break down those barriers to provide these services for women,” said Kimberly Vinson, of All About Women.
For anyone who missed the free health fair, the organization has planned to have another one in October.
