A man was arrested in Warren County, Kentucky on a long list of charges following a pursuit.

Officials with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said they were assisting with traffic for an event at Beech Bend Park on Saturday when a green Kia Soul was seen at the intersection of Louisville Road and East Riverview Drive.

Deputies said 63-year-old Raymond Earl Burch, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, a known fugitive, was believed to be seen driving that vehicle.

As they attempted to identify him, he reportedly continued through the interaction and disregarded directions from authorities.

Reports stated he then fled from deputies at a high rate of speed down the 31-W Bypass and into a Kroger parking lot.

Deputies said Burch ignored several stop signs as he turned onto Fairview Avenue.

He was then seen driving through traffic lights and driving recklessly.

Burch was pursued by officials until they terminated the chase for the safety of other drivers.

Burch was then seen turning onto Middle Bridge Road, and as traffic cleared, deputies resumed the pursuit.

According to reports, Burch got out of his vehicle and tried to flee on foot. He was taken into custody in the 1100 block of Shive Lane.

A search turned up a bag of suspected crystal methamphetamine in the front pocket of his pants.
