The funeral for Tennessee’s longest-serving lawmaker has been set for Friday.
Douglas Henry III, one of the state's most renowned political figures, died Sunday at the age of 90.

A funeral has been set for 11 a.m. Friday at Downtown Presbyterian Church on 5th Avenue North.
He will lie in repose in the Capitol on Thursday. A public visitation was set from 10 a.m. until noon and again from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
Henry was a World War II veteran from Nashville who began his career as a Democrat in the 50s. He was first elected to a House seat in 1954 before being elected to the Senate in 1970.
Governor Bill Haslam called Henry “a powerhouse intellect, courteous, kind, genuine and a statesman.”
Flags were lowered to half-staff Monday in his honor.
