CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Two more servicemen gunned down at a Chattanooga Navy reserve center have been laid to rest.

A funeral for Navy Petty Officer Randall Smith was held Saturday in his hometown in Georgia, and Sergeant Carson Holmquist was buried in his hometown of Grantsburg, Wisconsin.

A large crowd turned out in Wisconsin to say goodbye to Sergeant Holmquist.

Despite the hundreds upon hundreds, the town was silent as a flag-draped casket was carried into the community's high school for a public visitation. A painful sentiment echoed throughout the small town.

“It's not supposed to happen to anybody in this town, everybody's supposed to be fine,” one resident said.

Despite the size of the visitation crowd, the family had a private memorial service.

Services for Navy Officer Randall Smith were also private Saturday.

Two more funerals have been planned in the days to come.

Visitation for Lance Corporal Squire "Skip" Wells began Friday afternoon in Georgia. His funeral has been scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

The body of Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Sullivan arrived in Connecticut Friday. Visitation was planned for Sunday with a private funeral on Monday.
