GALLATIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — Officials say a man was swept away by flood waters in Gallatin during Sunday night's strong storms.

On December 30, the Gallatin Police Department responded to the greenway on East Broadway Street on reports of a body found in the creek.

They found Dwight Law Jr. in the water. They say he likely tried to cross the rapid, flooded waters of town creek Sunday evening and drowned.

The State Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine certain cause of death.

Anyone with any information on his death was asked to call the Gallatin Police Department at 615-452-1313.
