A portion of Murfreesboro Road has reopened in Franklin after a gas leak.
The incident was reported early Wednesday morning from Eddy Lane to Margin Street.
Officials initially said it could take an hour and a half for the road to reopen. However, the leak was stopped much sooner than they anticipated.

The cause of the leak was not known.
