TULLAHOMA, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tullahoma Police Department Captain George Marsh submitted his resignation to the City of Tullahoma on Wednesday afternoon.
This comes approximately five weeks after it was announce that both captain March and Police Chief Paul Blackwell would be place on administrative leave with pay while an investigation into the police department's management took place.
With the news of his resignation, City Administrator Jennifer Moody said "“His dedication and experience will be difficult to replace and we are grateful to Captain Marsh for his contributions to the City and our citizens over the years.”
Captain Marsh has been a member of law enforcement for 27 years and began serving the Tullahoma Police Department in 2004. He was promoted to the captain's position in 2015 and served as Acting Police Chief from May to September of 2018.
