Georgia Fugitive Arrested In Nashville

Posted

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department have arrested a fugitive wanted out of Georgia.

Police said they found Jerry Betts Thursday lying on the ground in front of a church on Woodland Street.

It turned out the church had an active no trespass waiver on file, and during an investigation, authorities discovered Betts had an out-of-county warrant based out of Georgia that was still active.

According to officials with the MNPD, Georgia authorities have planned to extradite Betts now that he's been booked into jail in Nashville.
