WOODBURY, Tenn. (WTVF) — The girlfriend of a man who sparked a manhunt in Cannon County Wednesday was arrested Thursday night on child endangerment charges.

Cannon County Sheriff Darryl Young told NewsChannel 5 Brandy Davenport was charged with child endangerment and child neglect or endangerment. She has since bonded out of jail.

On Wednesday, Davenport's boyfriend Michael Holden Thomas attacked her and held three children in a home against their will.

Thomas ran from the home with a large knife, possibly a machete, causing a pursuit in the area. After hours of searching, the sheriff's office called off the search. He has not yet been caught.

He’s facing three counts of aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault and parole violation out of Kentucky.

Young believes Thomas may have been picked up by his mother and taken to Kentucky.
