FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — Gov. Bill Haslam and Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer broke ground on the Mack Hatcher Northwest Quandrant on Tuesday morning.
The $45 million project will include a two-lane3.1 mile extension to the existing Mack Hatcher Parkway from Hillsboro Road to SR 96 west of Downtown Franklin. The project will also include a 12-foot-wide multi-use path and a half-mile long bridge that will span the bend in the Harpeth River.
“This part of Williamson County is booming,” Commissioner Schroer added. “We know this project will help keep traffic moving and provide some congestion relief for downtown Franklin.”
Construction is set to be completed in September 2021.
