MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — A guitar thief has turned himself into Murfreesboro police more than one month after the theft took place.

Hayden Snyder, 32, was wanted after he stole a Fender Telecaster guitar from the String Shoppe by stuffing the instrument down his pants and walking out of the establishment.

Snyder had since been dubbed the 'Guitar Bandit' by area police departments as this was not the first time he had stolen a guitar in this fashion.

Hayden surrendered himself to police on May 22 and has since bonded out of jail and is now awaiting his court date.
