Authorities were called to a Wayne County elementary school after a gun discharged inside a bathroom.
The incident was reported Thursday morning at Waynesboro Elementary School.
School officials released a statement confirming a student brought a loaded gun to the school and accidentally discharged the weapon in a bathroom.
The school went on lockdown and police were called to the scene.
No one was hurt.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remained under investigation.
