NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A portion of Lafayette Street in Nashville has reopened following an hours-long shooting investigation.
The incident was reported just before 4 a.m. Tuesday near Lafayette and Claiborne Streets, just south of downtown.

According to Metro Nashville police, a man was shot in the leg but suffered critical injuries. The victim was taken to an area hospital.
The gunman has yet to be taken into custody.
