Shooting Victim Walks To Nashville Fire Station For Help

An investigation has gotten underway near downtown Nashville after a shooting victim walked to a fire station for help. 

The incident was reported around 5 a.m. Wednesday near 3rd Avenue South and Ash Street, not far from Lafayette Street. 

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the victim was shot and immediately walked to a nearby fire station for help. 

Police said the victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where his or her condition was not known.

Witnesses reported seeing two suspects on a black motorcycle. The investigation remained ongoing.
