Hamilton, Cats included in TPAC's 2019-2020 season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Tennessee Performing Arts announced its 2019-2020 season lineup during its annual season announcement party.

It not only includes classics like My Fair Lady and Cats but also newer breakout shows like Hamilton and Spongebob the Musical.

ONCE ON THIS ISLAND – October 15-20, 2019
THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL – November 5-10, 2019
HAMILTON – December 31, 2019 – January 19, 2020
Lerner & Loewe’s MY FAIR LADY – February 4-9, 2020
ESCAPE TO MARGARITAVILLE – May 5-10, 2020
SUMMER: THE DONNA SUMMER MUSICAL – May 26-31, 2020
Roald Dahl’s CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY – June 9-14, 2020

TPAC officials said the only way for current season ticket holders to secure tickets to the show that's in such high demand, Hamilton, is to renew their season tickets for 2019-2020. Others were advised to sign up for the theatre's "StageLinks" news letter for the latest updates.

The TPAC party featured multiple performances. Students from the theatre departments of Hillsboro High School and The Central Magnet School performed “You Will Be Found” from Dear Evan Hansen.

Also, local musician and actor Chris Roberts performed “Gethsemane” from Jesus Christ Superstar, and Storm Lever performed “Last Dance” from Summer: The Donna Summer Musical.
