CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – A Hamilton County woman has been indicted on charges of perjury and filing a false report.
Officials said they began the investigation January 21 after a complaint was received about 27-year-old Christina Starnes Evans.
Officials said the complaint against Evans of filing a false report and aggravated perjury stemmed from an incident in October 2014.
Tuesday, a grand jury returned the indictments against Evans, charging her with one count of aggravated perjury and two counts of filing a false report.
Evans turned herself in Thursday. She was released from jail after posting a $7,500 bond.
